The African Tulip is an elegant and charming Luxury Boutique Hotel located along Serengeti Road right in the heart of Arusha. A warm and friendly welcome awaits guests who want to experience the best of Tanzanian hospitality. The hotel has been designed with safari travelers, business persons, families, honeymooners, elite and leisure travelers in mind. It has amenities of convenience whilst offering a high standard of luxury.

Accommodation: The hotel has 29 guest rooms, 7 of which are suites. The rooms are individually and stylishly decorated using warm African tones. A lot of African material and local art has been used reflecting the common thread that runs throughout the hotel which is one of consistence and quality.

`The Zanzibar’ Lounge is beautifully decorated with Zanzibari art and offers comfortable seating where guests can relax and peruse the various coffee table books, whilst enjoying pure African Coffee. A fully stocked lounge bar offers warm Swahili service.

`The Baobab’ Restaurant is uniquely designed and offers a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience. Our Chefs creatively prepare exotic and delicious meals with fresh and natural ingredients giving guests a flavor of both Tanzanian and International cuisine.

Additional amenities include: a business centre, a 30 seater conference room, two fully stocked bars, swimming pool and gift shops.

Our elegant and inviting Baobab Restaurant offers a range of cuisine in a stunning setting. The restaurant’s colour scheme reflects the warm, red tone of the nation’s soil. A water feature creates a sense of relaxation and our attentive staff will ensure you receive friendly but also efficient service. The Baobab Restaurant, named after one of Africa’s greatest deciduous trees, has a talented team of chef that always use the freshest and finest ingredients. Our ‘Fusions of the East’ menu has a range of South Indian cuisine while our Continental menu contains a range of tempting dishes. Finally, for an authentic taste of Tanzania, try ‘The African Pot’ for a fabulous choice of local dishes. An All-day menu is also available at the poolside or in our garden. The Baobab Restaurant always offers a range of enticing vegetarian dishes for our guests.

`The Zanzibar’ Lounge

The Zanzibar Lounge, with its intricately carved panels and traditional furniture, transports you to the exotic streets of Stone Town. The bar’s sophisticated but relaxing feel is designed to appeal to the safari tourist, Tanzanian locals and ex-patriot residents. The Zanzibar Lounge Bar Menu includes a range of snacks and freshly-made cake for afternoon tea.

The Serengeti Bar and Pool

Visit our pool to swim or just relax beside the water. Changing facilities are available. The Serengeti Bar at the poolside has a wide-screen TV, serves a range of drinks and has snacks available during the day.
Conference Centre and Business Centre

Our conference room can seat up to 35 people in a ‘theatre-style’ arrangment. It has all standard facilities, a break out room, natural daylight and air-conditioning. Our experienced staff can provide tailored catering facilities and any other requirements to make your event a success. Our Business Centre is equipped with a range of office technology. This includes PCs with high-speed internet, printers, a photocopier and other services upon request.
