DETAILED ITINERARY      

Day 1 Travel to Bwindi Forest  

Your safari guide will meet you in the morning after breakfast and give you a short briefing about the whole tour and then travel to Bwindi Forest. You will pass through the Ankole Kingdom home of the (Ankole cattle)/long horned cattle before you start seeing the terraced steep hills of the Kigezi region. On arrival you will check in your accommodation in Bwindi for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest

Immediately after having breakfast, we report at the gorilla trekking starting point for a short briefing. You then enter the Impenetrable Forest with packed lunch to search for the endangered mountain gorillas. Be ready to walk for 1 to 7 hours depending on where you will find the gorillas that day. Having encountered them, you will be given a full hour to enjoy the gorillas’ company. At this point, you can take as many photos as you want. An hour you spend with the Uganda mountain gorillas is indeed one of the best wildlife encounters one can ever have. Don’t be surprised when you get goose bumps as you look into the brown eyes of the dominant silver back, it’s the strongest primate on earth. You then drive back to your safari lodge to relax and unwind

Day 3 Travel to Lake Mburo National Park       

After having breakfast, travel to Lake Mburo National Park. This is famous for large herds of zebras and impalas.

You then check into your accommodation and relax. On this day, you are to do a night game drive to search for nocturnal creatures.

Day 4 Morning game drive or optional activities and travel to Entebbe       

After a morning breakfast, you are to do a guided safari walk in the park. This will give you an opportunity to see some of the details you would not have been able to see while inside the safari car. You will walk amongst zebras, giraffes and so on. The absence of large predators such as lions makes Lake Mburo a perfect place to have these adventurous activities.  You will later drive to Kampala or Entebbe.

You are to have a stop at Kayabwe (Equator village) where you can also shop for some souvenirs for the trip. You will reach Entebbe in the evening, hence the end of the safari.

Note that weather at Bwindi is unpredictable, it can rain at any time.

While on site, we accept payment in only US Dollars, GB Pound, Euro and UG Shillings.
